RespiGard™ PFAS and Solvent-Free Membrane Keeps Outdoor Enthusiasts Dry with Waterproof, Breathable, Lightweight Advancements
CHARLOTTE, N.C., 2023 – Polypore International, LP (Polypore), is pleased to showcase its RespiGard™ high-performance membrane at ISPO, booth B1-104, November 28-30, 2023.
RespiGard™ membranes are uniquely designed for outdoor apparel. They are PFAS and solvent-free while providing a soft hand feel and lightweight solution for designers and product brands in the performance outerwear space. Using a proprietary and patented manufacturing process, RespiGard™ membranes exhibit high levels of performance in both breathability and waterproofness due to a unique pore structure that is too small for water droplets to penetrate but allows for airflow and moisture evaporation. These properties paired with a quiet sound make RespiGard™ membranes an ideal solution for use in high-performance sport and outdoor textiles.
All RespiGard™ products are OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified and are produced using a solvent-free manufacturing process. Additionally, our raw material suppliers confirm they do not intentionally add PFAS and independent lab testing of RespiGard™ verifies results below the detection limit. When paired with other polypropylene components, RespiGard™ supports a mono-material garment solution capable of advancing the development of a circular textile supply chain.
